Discovery Benefits has a presence in all 50 states and has offered flexible benefits administration since 1987. We began offering COBRA administration in 1994. Transportation Fringe Benefit Plans were added in 2003. In 2004, Discovery Benefits implemented Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Health Savings Accounts.

Discovery is majority owned by Noridian Mutual Insurance Company. Noridian Mutual Insurance Company began operations in the 1940s, offering North Dakota’s first prepaid hospital and medical health coverage plans. Today, Noridian is a multifaceted corporation providing private health coverage, life insurance, administrative services, third-party administration and many other products and services. Discovery’s ownership structure provides the stability, IT and financial resources for managed growth in the employee benefits market.
